Ciena makes your social / entertainment / business existence REAL.The Junior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, Blue Planet Division, will be a dedicated business resource for the Blue Planet team. This role will assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts for Blue Planet Operating Expenses, Cost of Goods Sold, Orders, and Revenue. They will be responsible for monthly budget vs. actual reviews of these cost centers with the associated leader for each. Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-flight FP Team in an exciting and growing business.Monthly Planning, Forecasting & other activities:Provide monthly Budget vs Actual variance analysis for the Blue Planet Cost of Goods Sold and Operating Expense Cost Centers and review with ManagementRun and distribute Labor Utilization, Job Change Order, and Vendor Purchase Order reports to Project Management teamRun and distribute Software Shipment ReportsMaintain the Professional Services Key Performance Indicators DashboardMaintain Key Performance Indicators in the Weekly Operations Review deckAssist in the development of Financial reports and Dashboards in Anaplan and Cognos BIJoin weekly meetings to discuss the current pipeline of opportunities and committed deals for Named, Growth and Partner accounts, Take notes on key actions and changes week over weekJoin bi-weekly meetings to review the status of all open Professional Services projects and provide FP support for Project ManagersQuarterly Financial Reviews and Forecasting:Assist in the development and submission of the Operating Expense & Cost of Goods sold forecasts for outlooks, and Current Quarter Operations Assurance (CQOA)Participate in the revenue and bookings Budget vs Actual reviews with Director of FP and other stake holdersAnnual Operating Plan:Assist in the development and submission of the Operating Expense, Cost of Goods Sold, Bookings, and Revenue Budgets and Long-Term ForecastsProvide ad hoc analyses to support management decisions for annual planAssist in the collection of data for the Blue Planet Loaded Labor RatesRequired Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldFinance, planning and accounting skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsKnowledge of financial and ERP systems - Salesforce, Anaplan, Hyperion and Oracle a plusStrong MS Office skills - Excel, PowerPoint, WordAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesHigh attention to detail and analytical skillsAboutCienaCienais a network strategy and technology companywith apassion to provide an experience, to you and our customers that is as rewarding as the outcome.We attract the best and brightest- those with outstanding talent, motivation, and the right attitude to contribute to our success.
