We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Analyst/Systems Engineer to support combat system performance analysis and system engineering studies. You will be joining a hardworking team of engineers who are passionate about providing high-impact analysis and system engineering solutions to support our warfighters. As a Systems Analyst/Systems Engineer You will analyze Weapon Control System (WCS) Modeling & Simulation (M) results to evaluate system performance in support of fleet studies, flight test events, and system engineering studies. You will characterize system capabilities and limitations, identify trends and outliers, and perform root cause analysis. You will contribute to WCS system engineering efforts by reviewing requirements, assessing system design, and evaluating algorithms. You will support concept and feasibility studies to assist in the development of future combat system capabilities and requirements. You will develop tools in Python and MATLAB to analyze combat system performance and visualize data in innovative ways. You will produce documentation on system requirements, system design, technical recommendations, and analysis results. You will deliver presentations to technical staff, program leadership, and Sponsors. QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Have a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field. Have 3+ years of related professional experience. Are proficient with MATLAB and/or Python. Are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Are highly self-motivated to dig into data to root cause issues and to understand system performance. Have strong technical written and oral communication skills. Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team, as well as effective collaboration skills with other teams and contractors. Willingness to travel up to 5% o the time as needed. Are able to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All staff members must provide proof of full vaccination or have an approved medical or religious accommodation by their start date. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you Have an MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field. Have 5+ years of related professional experience. Have proficiency with Python data science libraries (eg NumPy, Pandas). Have experience in requirements analysis, design, and concept development. Are familiar with developing object-oriented C++ software in a Linux environment. Are familiar with software revision control systems (eg git). Are familiar with the Atlassian tool suite (eg Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo). Have strong interpersonal and communications skills with a desire to take on leadership roles for analysis studies. Have a working knowledge of the Aegis Weapon System and/or Weapon Control System.
