Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldTax ManagerDuties include but are not limited to:Prepare annual and quarterly income tax provision for review by the senior tax manager. Provide an entry for quarterly and annual income tax provision. Reconcile tax accounts on a quarterly and annual basis. Facilitate and manage timely and accurate preparation and processing of annual consolidated and/or separate federal and state income tax returns. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all estimated payments and annual extensions Streamline data collection and tax return preparation through automation and process improvements. Develop yearly apportionment factors for state income tax compliance and provision. Along with the senior tax manager, manage relationships with third-party tax compliance providers and third-party owner representatives. Manage and facilitate IRS, state income tax and indirect tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc. as instructed by the senior manager. Timely respond to notices received from governmental entities. Develop, manage, and lead indirect tax professionals to greater level of effectiveness and engagement. Develop and implement indirect tax process, procedures, and internal controls and ascertain timely filing. Manage due date tracker for federal, state, and foreign income tax filings and indirect tax filings. Manage the preparation, review, and timely filing of sales and use tax returns, unclaimed property returns, VAT, sales tax registrations, property tax assessments, business license, annual reports as required in all jurisdictions. Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects. Strong ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members. Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives. Research and analyze tax-planning ideas to determine impacts for US income tax reporting and the federal elements of the worldwide tax provision. Maintain effective and ascertain all key controls procedures are followed and completed for annual and quarterly provision. Maintain knowledge on tax law and the organizational impact of changes. Perform special projects, as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 6 - 8 years of income tax experience Broad exposure to Federal and state income taxation with ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution Broad exposure to corporate and consolidated income tax compliance issues and income tax provision preparation Strong Excel skills required (ie Pivot Table, Vlookup, and SUMIFS etc.) Working knowledge of industry tax provision software preferably One Source Excellent project management, communication, problem solving and analytical skills Hard worker, quick learner with positive "can do" attitude CPA certification preferred 4 year college degree (master's degree in taxation a plus)PAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
