Job Description: Parsons is seeking an experienced Education Network Coordinator to work at the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE). In coordination with government leads, the Education Network Coordinator will work with the TBICoE network sites, through Regional Network Education Coordinators (REC), to manage and coordinate TBI education efforts with a primary focus on provider training. This is a proposed full-time role, pending award of contract. TBICoE, formerly known as the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) , is a Federal Program within the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA) J9 Research and Development Directorate. TBICoE supports a multi-center network of military treatment facilities and Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers with TBI education and research initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Assist government program leads establish standards of performance and metrics. Perform data aggregation to support computation and analysis of the metrics. Conduct analysis, compile, and present the metrics to the government leads. Formulate and track plans (with milestones) to improve provider education throughout the Military Health System (MHS). Review and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) pertaining to outreach, beneficiary education, TBICoE product promotion and dissemination and other REC-related tasks on an annual basis and provide updates as needed. Utilize appropriate lines of authority for approval of education activities. Demonstrate accountability for practice through planned and continuous professional growth. Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse populations and excellent interpersonal skills. In coordination with government leads, works with RECs to plan local, regional and/or national training events. Provide guidance and outreach to VA, DoD, and civilian populations (healthcare providers, service members, veterans, family members and caregivers) related to TBI. Create and maintain a core set of information materials related to TBI (to include TBICoE products, training slides and Clinical Recommendations/Clinical Support Tools) that will be used by RECs in the conduct of their duties. Formulate and tracks plan to improve provider education throughout the MHS. Leverage knowledge of DoD and VA clinical networks to identify access points for training and education, utilizing appropriate lines of authority for approval. Qualifications: Master's Degree in education or healthcare field. Minimum 6 years' experience working with the DoD/VA/community providers, patients, and families with issues of TBI education and training. Experience in the care of patients with TBI (inpatient, outpatient, or rehabilitations settings). Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated knowledge of community education, outreach techniques, basic TBI clinical practices, and TBI policy. Must adhere to legal, professional, and ethical codes concerning confidentiality and privacy. Available to travel locally, regionally, and nationally.
