Job DescriptionData Analyst ProfessionalStart - ASAPDuration - End of 2020Location - RestonJob ResponsibilitiesThis person will be responsible to: * Execute Configuration Management processes, procedures, and methodologies based upon ITIL principles * Work with technology teams and data consumers to ensure Configuration Items (CI's) are entered and maintained in the CMDB and IT Asset Management systems * Reconcile the CMDB data when exceptions are noted between CMDB, discovery information, and other authoritative data repositories for configuration items * Support design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data * Provide recommendations and input to existing or new processes to improve the effectiveness of Configuration Management * Identify and track issues and risks to closure while maintaining communication with data consumers * Perform other duties as assignedQualifications * Experience with data analysis and maintenance of Configuration items * Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or BMC Remedy CMDB * Knowledge of ServiceNow Service Management modules * Understanding of IT Service Management processes based on ITIL v3 * Experience in asset and configuration item identification, baseline, relationship mapping, CMDB administration
