Team Lead Platform Engineering Manager, Cloud Engineering - Remote Work from Home Job Description SummaryThe Lead Application & Product Architect (Team Lead Platform Engineering Manager) is a technical and hands-on position. This position sits in our Cloud Engineering Team where the successful candidate will engage and work closely with both Architecture, Product Teams, DevOps and Quality Engineering in an exciting and fast paced environment as part of a team that develops cloud-based applications deployed to linux. The successful candidate must also have at least 10 years professional experience developing cloud based commercial solutions in either Python 3, Java, TypeScript, .NET Core, Go or C++11. This is a managerial and hands-on technical role and will report to the Director of Engineering.ResponsibilitiesManage and lead a team of technical experts with backgrounds similar to your own in addition to staff with expertise in database technologies, performance engineering, security engineering etc.Design and develop technical and cross cutting solutions for Product Engineering Teams in the areas of scale, security, data layer access, logging, application telemetry, api design, process-to-process communication etc.Design and build scalable, available, and elastic solutions for cloud deploymentWork directly with the Chief Architect and Director of Engineering on planning and prioritizing the eO product technical roadmapPrototype technical designs or create POC as needed Participate in requirement and design discussions with product teams and SRE teamsFind solutions that address system bottlenecksIdentify improvements and participate on innovating our tools and services that are at the foundation of our productPrioritize and manage both sprints and backlogsMentor platform team membersEstablish priorities with Scrum Masters and Product Managers/OwnersParticipate in all relevant meetings: Development Meetings; Project Team Meetings; others as assigned. Assume a leadership role in these meetings as neededParticipate in all corporate training, company initiatives and performance planning exercisesOther duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsEducation: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or related field.
