Summit Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a customer-oriented Sr. Full Stack Java Developer to join our team in Ashburn or Springfield, VA. The right candidate will apply their talents to national and homeland security problems. You will use Java, SQL and Oracle to design, and maintain data services. You must be a US citizen as this is a government contract requiring a CBP BI security clearance or eligibility to obtain one. Duties and Responsibilities: Write client services utilizing an enterprise search RESTful service Design, develop and implement custom software and database application capabilities. Troubleshoot validation issues across networks Recommend solutions in a multidisciplinary environment (eg, utilizing Front-end, Back-end or other multi-faceted solutions) Act as a liaison with customers both internal and external; to brief, design, and implement identity management initiatives Provide guidance across domains of Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, and Information Security professionals Utilize a "security-first" mindset for analyzing designs and implementations; to identify security vulnerabilities and flaws Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Java J2EE/JEE design and software development experience Expertise with Java, Java Frameworks (Spring, JMS), Object-Oriented Design and development principles; and Java Application Servers such as WebLogic or Apache Tomcat; and relational databases such as Oracle or DB2 An understanding of web services (REST/SOAP with XML or JSON payloads) and their representation in a network traceUnderstanding of the HTTP and TLS protocols and modern extensions (content security policy, CSRF tokens)Experience with querying various databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MariaDB) using a variety of means to analyze data and deduce missing or erroneous information An understanding of infrastructure (load balancers, storage, monitoring etc.) and experience with orchestration to develop a Cloud solution Experience using software engineering practices (eg, reading/generating software specs, design patterns, continuous using integration) Ability to lead and mentor junior Developers Preferred Experience and Skills: Experience with Enterprise Search Technologies (Solr, Elasticsearch, Lucene, etc.) Experience troubleshooting CRL/OCSP/PIV validation issues in a across networksExperience parsing and cryptographically validating documents in various formatsExperience with X509 binary certificate construction and parsingUnderstanding of application security practices and their implementations (eg, NIST 800-53)Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) Security Clearance: Must have a current CBP BI or be eligible .
