The National Geospatial Programs subdivision (NGP) serves as the technical and programmatic advisor to the National Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) Agency (NGA) and other mission partners involved in the end-to-end GEOINT mission. We are looking for a Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineer to contribute to Aerospace's modeling and simulation in support of NGA Enterprise, Futures and Readiness.What You'll Be Doing Assisting and advising the development of systems engineering expertise, mission readiness, enterprise integration and analytic capability Shepherding multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions and drive delivery of GEOINT data to the user communityDelivering independent and objective advice on NGA future architecturesIdentifying, tasking and tracking resources in support of multiple government customer divisionsIdentifying and developing opportunities for Aerospace to insert innovative solutions to user needsMaintaining a working knowledge of both current and future GEOINT acquisitions, including relevant advanced technology developments, tracking, and reporting Aerospace contributions to both the customer and Aerospace managementThis position requires co-location at a Government site in Springfield, VA. Local travel in the Washington DC area and occasional domestic travel to meetings and workshops will be required.What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for the Project Engineer role:Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or related technical disciplineA minimum of 8 years of progressively more responsible experience Knowledge of GIS Systems, systems engineering and technical assessmentsUnderstanding of GEOINT architectures, GEOINT analyticsThis position requires a current and active TS/SSBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearanceIn addition to the above, the following are the minimum requirements for the Senior Project Engineer roleA minimum of 12 years of progressively more responsible experienceExperience with GIS Systems, systems engineering and technical assessmentsStrong understanding of GEOINT architectures and GEOINT analyticsFamiliarity with IC program management, budget programming, requirements, and acquisition processesHow You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:Advanced degree in engineering or an appropriate technical disciplineDemonstrated experience in planning or conducting Architecture-level trade-studiesExperience with both DoD and IC mission readiness processesAbility to organize and assemble teams from Aerospace Engineering Matrix organization and other program offices in response to customer requirements.In-depth knowledge of GIS systems including GEOINT data and ground systemsExperience with National Security collection capabilities and programs for both current and future overhead architecturesProgram Office experience working directly with contractors and government customers.Experience working within the intelligence community and advising senior officials.Ways We Reward Our Employees During your interview process, our team will provide details of our industry-leading benefits.Benefits vary and are applicable based on Job Type.
