It's going to take all of us.And it's not optional.We want you to join usAbout the Position:Make an impact at one of the world's movements dedicated to social change.Do you have demonstrated experience creating and obtaining stellar results from innovative campaigns, thrive in a highly collaborative environment, and aren't too proud to occasionally sit on the floor for a meeting (don't worry, it's not every meeting)?Special Olympics is seeking a brilliant Marketing professional to lead a scrappy team to drive brand awareness and tell the new Special Olympics story globally. This role will successfully promote the organization, its mission, and athletes through traditional, digital, and social media, collaborate on a content marketing strategy and deliver epic campaigns.The qualified candidate will be a driven and engaged senior leader (success is more important than years) with an impressive track record of driving and accelerating revenue growth and social change on a global level. Reporting directly to the CMDO, the VP of Marketing must have experience across content, marketing, public & corporate relations, global campaigns, creative, multimedia, digital marketing, social media, customer marketing, and thought leadership campaigns.This position is a fantastic opportunity for the right leader to join a fast-paced, dynamic and market-leading nonprofit and social movement.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President of Marketing will focus on the following essential duties and responsibilities:* Define the global Marketing vision and strategy* Connect and bridge the organization's interventions to consumer awareness appeals* Manage and lead a small team to deliver breakthrough campaigns across several regions and markets.* Drive marketing strategy and efforts for annual and capital campaigns and focus areas of the movement.* Understand what drives market interest and market dynamics and work closely with the internal and external Communications, Marketing and Development teams to translate these into actionable strategies and tactics.* Communicate content needs effectively and use content for marketing Special Olympics, our programs, mission, and athletes.* Define and deploy best practice processes for supporting the broad array of creative requirements from the marketing team.* Combine data, technology, and behavioral insights to build innovative acquisition programs that drive growth by identifying qualified customers and subsequently engaging and retaining them.* Serve as organization spokesperson as needed for specific media and public speaking engagements* Support internal teams and business units with marketing services such as creative writing, visual assets, toolkits, and publications. * Attract, retain, and develop talent.
