Experience in SE or T plus knowledge of practices/principles necessary in the development of DoD systems. Capable of establishing strong working relationships within the DoD and identifying and resolving issues.This position requires a candidate with experience performing a variety of complex engineering tasks across the engineering tools and environment discipline, including:Reviews and recommends new T and Engineering policies or updates to existing policiesPropose recommendations for new and revised guidance necessary to ensure compliance with acquisition, T, and Engineering policiesPrepare periodic updates to the Guidebooks for both T and Engineering as well as contribute to other guidance as necessary, to ensure appropriate T and Engineering guidance is addressed across the lifecycle and integrated throughoutIdentify areas where program documentation (eg, systems engineering plans, test and evaluation master plans, acquisition strategies) is routinely inconsistent with engineering policy and provide recommended policy and/or guidance changes to the Government Lead for Policy and Workforce in order to resolve these issuesReview the Defense Acquisition University's (DAU) courseware to ensure consistency with T and Engineering Policy, Guidance, and StandardsSupport the development, collection, and coordination of DAU Course content for T and Engineering Functional AreasProvide recommended inputs for OUSD(R) T and Engineering Reporting Requirements,Provide technical and management inputs to data calls, briefings, articles, and reports, as required.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline that is relevant to engineering with 10 years of engineering experienceUS citizen with a minimum DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibilityDesired Qualifications:Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of DefenseExperience supporting or working with the Defense Research & Engineering communityHands on experience in the RDT of technologies or complex systemsThis position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in Summer 2021 supporting the Department of Defense.COMPANY INFORMATION:Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
