Technician's role is to support and maintain in-house technology equipment and IT assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while insuring its optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Support Senior Technicians with first call helpdesk support within Springfield Plant for all computer/ technical needs of all Plant personnel by maintaining an open phone line of communication to answer each service call.
- Maintain computer functionality and operating systems around plant performing maintenance at required intervals.
- Assist Senior Technicians with installation of camera systems and informational monitor marquees within designated areas of facility and perform upkeep as required.
- Will receive on the job training for required maintenance on Krause Computer to plate machines.
- Maintain Rasberry-Pi images and configurations for the plant and Distributions Centers around the area and explore ways to more efficiently use Rasberry-Pi devices to reduce the number of desktop computers on the floor.
- Troubleshoot local hardware and software components and their relationship to Local Area Network hardware, and Wireless communication using a variety of network tools and devices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year MS Windows experience
- Willing to receive training to become proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems and its relationship to internal hardware and bios functionality.
- Desire to work in a Manufacturing warehouse type environment that is not comparable to the typical office environment.
- Ability to communicate and understand English and technical jargon associated with the IT Industry and be able to properly fill out shift reports to pass along all details that occur during your work hours (Shift) to your IT colleagues
- Ability to prioritize safety of yourself and others while working within the warehouse Plant environment.
- Willingness to adhere to Covid 19 protocols, including wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing while inside property.
- Willing to receive training in Windows, Lan and related areas within IT Krause Multiformat LS Jet Computer to Plate machine and the Operating System that drives it, as well as SLS 3000 inserter and its relationship to the driving operating system within
