Duties

  • Develop, correlate, evaluate, and incorporate diverse elements of logistics doctrine in accordance with Army and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.
  • Serve as TRADOC G-1/4 lead for the Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA) Equipment Review and Validation Board (ERVB).
  • Provide technical assistance and instructions to improve and sustain the logistics profile and materiel readiness in the field and training environment.
  • Champion the development of and change to existing logistics policies, procedures, and programs, to include such aspects as logistics conferences, meetings, seminars, and workshops to influence the best possible readiness posture for the Command.
  • Serve as the Command Food Service Advisor and monitor Warrior Restaurant utilization rates through the use of applicable information systems to identify trends and recommend improvements at the General Officer level.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Document and manage equipment requirements that provide life cycle logistics support within the organization; 2) Present and brief concerning logistics issues to higher headquarters; and 3) Monitor dining facility utilization rates such as using the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
