Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, manage and execute day-to-day operations and maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient and effective airfield operations.
  • Serve as the Airfield Project Manager and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and primary point of contact for all aspects of Airfield operations related to aviation and strategic planning missions.
  • Oversee activities on the Airfield to include construction, airfield, COR and maintenance of airfield equipment.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of airfield activities with units using the airfield.
  • Coordinate waiver requests that affect airfield and airspace criteria.
  • Develop procedures to monitor and track airfield discrepancies and update status until work is complete.

  • This is a drug testing position - required to sign DA Form 5019-R. Must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

  • Must possess or maintain a current, valid State-issued driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card/license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this position. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves assisting in managing day-to-day airfield operations, coordinating maintenance activities and maintaining property accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

Education
