Job Description Our Engineering Design Organization in the Southeast Region is looking for an entry-level Electrical Engineers in which you will assist with the engineering design, evaluation, and implementation of various projects, including water/wastewater, industrial, Federal and marine/coastal. The Electrical Engineer will be working on a variety of electrical power generation, distribution and utilization system projects. Responsibilities Creation and presentation of power studies Detailed design of electrical power systems Preparation of electrical equipment procurement specifications Experience and Skills Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred Up to 3 years of experience in the design of electrical power generation, distribution and utilization systems including HV main and secondary substations, power distribution equipment, protective relaying and metering, electrical power generating equipment and systems, UPS and power conditioning systems, lightning and surge protection systems, motors and motor controls, indoor/outdoor lighting systems, electrical heat tracing, wiring methods and grounding systems Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and other electrical industry codes, standards and recommended practices is preferred Familiarity with ETAP, SKM or other computer-assisted power study programs, and an interest or experience in performing short-circuit & protective relaying analysis and power studies is a plus Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit preferred Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management and organizational skills Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision Preparation of electrical construction documentsAbout Us Why GHD?
