Overview: The Human Resources Generalist carries out the day to day functions of the human resources department. Responsibilities include compliance, HRIS, employee relations, benefits, and compensation programs. The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Managing Director of Human Resources in all support functions. Responsibilities: Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.Provides assistance to recruiting when needed, facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Maintains the HRIS system and is responsible for inputting all new employees and maintain accuracy of all employee files.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Executes the onboarding of new employees, including orientation, review of company policies and procedures and explanation of benefits.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director.Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Assists in annual reporting requirements including VETS 4212, EEO-1 and affirmative action.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: US CitizenBachelors degree requiredMinimum 8 years of human resources experience within the federal government contractor spaceStrong technical skills with the MS Office suiteStrong customer service skills including written and oral communicationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with ADP Workforce NowSHRM-CP or PHR preferredMust provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or obtain an approved accommodation request (as required by law) within 30 days of employment.
