Job DescriptionCape Fox Facilities Services is seeking a Facilities Planning Manager to join our team in Bethesda, MD in support of the NIH. Responsibilities: Advise on all aspects of planning, design and construction of assigned projects. Support and maintain close watch on the progress and status of assigned facility projects; take appropriate action to ensure that progress and schedules of projects are not hampered. Monitor schedule and cost of major projects for excessive cost overruns or claims. Establish reporting system to ensure that timely notification is provided to the government representative of any deviation from original budget or schedule. Serve as a senior subject matter expert in the construction management field; plan and develop requirements, procedures and directives necessary for carrying out new and renovation construction projects. Attend project meetings; lay out an organized and well-developed approach to construction management projects. Provide positive and productive coordination to achieve target outcomes. Perform on-site walks and inspections to support construction execution. Coordinate designs and studies, including responses by design firms to permit review comments and review of plans to confirm that the user objectives are being maintained. Provide support to Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) on the development of scopes of work, independent government estimates and technical evaluations of proposals.Travel Requirements 0 - 10% Salary Grade Job Requirements Thirteen (13) year of experience in facilities management. Extensive experience in renovation projects, entailing HVAC, electrical, production floor arrangement, etc. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Four (4) years of specialized experience as well as certification in HVAC, electrical, etc. would be equivalent to a BA/BS degree. Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
