Primary ResponsibilitiesUse extensive knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm & smoke removal systems, engineering, installation, and construction proceduresto program with Distech, Trend, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems.Individuals must be comfortable working on a construction site as well as in a professional office space atmosphere.Program systems & graphic interfaces for all supported brands to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers recommendations, in accordance with RoviSys standards and contract documentsPerform commissioning and check-out of control systems, and ensures that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are metTroubleshoot various supported brands of building automation systems and implement repairs as requiredPerform routine maintenance on building automation systems and make recommendations for improvement & repair based on reportingInstruct customer's personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conservation routinesProvide information to update drawings and keep records of equipment for as-built documentationAdvises sales team of additional sales potential and solicit service contracts while performing start-up, commissioning, and owner training tasksWhen not atlocal/regionalcustomer sitesworking on installed systems,will work remote from homewith other engineering professionals at RoviSys offices to complete documentation and configuration of control systemsQualifications:Bachelors/Associate degree in a technical program or similar trade school certificate in HVAC/R, Electronics, or related field, and 2 years of BMS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience or5+ years of BMS control system start-up, checkout, and service experienceExperience with Microsoft productivity software and general computer skillsValid applicable state driver's licensePreferred Qualifications & Expertise:Tridium N4 certificationHVAC background in mechanical equipment serviceDeep knowledge of mechanical & electrical systemsHydronic system experienceKnowledge of mechanical & evaporative cooling systemsPsychrometric chart functions Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
