JOB SUMMARY Are you ready to be part of an amazing global product design team working on next-generation mobile platforms for one of the most recognized hospitality brands in the world? In this user experience design role, you will lead the creation of seamless and unified mobile app experiences. This role reports into the Director of Experience Design and participates in an agile cross-functional product team, working closely with product owners, engineers, and other designers. This individual will help drive the vision for how experiences should be designed for large scale consumer-facing digital products. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience that is rooted in an empathetic understanding of both the consumers physical and digital environments and how they impact the design of the Marriott Bonvoy App. A strong portfolio rooted in mobile app design is critical for this role. Your portfolio should showcase experience in UX and visual design, particularly where simplicity and ease-of-use were a major concern. Responsibilities: Produces sketches, wireframes, personas, journey maps, flows, designs, motion specs, prototypes and/or presentations as needed to communicate experience design Produces both innovative high-level design concepts as well as development-ready designs with specifications Ensure a quality experience on live digital products by participating in the user acceptance testing process Employ prototyping, user testing and research to inform your design work and thinking Present and clearly communicate design solutions and rationale Engage in critiques as well as share new learnings and case studies Respect and contribute to the evolving design system Challenge existing processes with new ways for the team to be more effective Create and maintain design documentation Youre exactly who were looking for if you: Possess exceptional visual design skills and a great sense of aesthetics Can balance user, business, and technical needs Obsess over the details of the interaction, visual, and motion design Lead with a user-centric mindset Solve problems holistically across channels for a seamless experience Thrive on creating innovative solutions to challenging user and business problems Value deadlines, set realistic expectations around them and then meet them Strong portfolio that shows solid design craft, compelling creative direction, user centered thinking, and a high degree of agility Experience with major, large-scale global digital apps, mobile web sites, or other digital products within the commerce or travel space preferred Good mix of UX/UI, visual design, and interaction design expertise Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, user-friendly experiences Collaborative, highly-organized, and strong attention to detail Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills Strong stakeholder management skills and flexibility to thrive in a fast paced and shifting prioritization environment High school diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in information architecture, user experience, interaction design, library sciences, or business analysis OR 4-year degree from an accredited university in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, User-Centered Design or related major and 4 years of experience in information architecture, user experience, interaction design, library sciences, or business analysis OR unrelated 4-year degree and masters degree from an accredited university in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, User-Centered Design or related degree and 4 years of experience in user experience, information architecture, interaction design library sciences, or business analysis.
