As a Manager, Targeted Programs Strategy for Staples, you will be responsible for driving best practices, deployment and strategy in Retail Email, SMS, POS receipt (PRO), Push notifications, and Print programs. You will be responsible for bringing customer centricity, deploying personalization and innovative technologies in marketing campaigns across targeted marketing channels to ensure the customers get the best value through their relationship with Staples. Detailed Executional Planning Partner with marketing counterparts from Brand Activation, creative team, merchant partners, analytics and external vendors (where needed) to prioritize and drive the detailed execution planning of marketing programs Create and manage targeted marketing campaign calendar with a customer centric view of all Targeted Marketing programs Partner with circulation & segment teams to recommend campaign targeting and segmentation strategies Establish and monitor KPIs of campaigns and actively adjust the test roadmap to improve overall KPIs Manage coupon creation process on behalf of marketing responsible for coupon configuration, testing, and reporting. Test Execution and Management Identify new test ideas/recommendations and manage test calendar to develop executional plan for optimizing targeted campaigns to drive business growth for retail customers Partner with the Marketing and Merchandising leaders and other functions to get approvals to proceed with the test executions Deployment Strategy Determine the circulation plan, segmentation details, customer lists and resolve circulation conflict across business channels and segments to ensure the customers get the best value out of their relationship with Staples (customer-centric approach) working with rest of the Targeted Marketing team, Analytics, Circulation and Marketing leaders Review plans with stakeholders and obtain approvals before proceeding with deployment Improve and recommend target audience segments based on communication objectives, data science modelled algorithms and customer analytics teams recommendations Best Practices Identify opportunities to improve customer experience through flawless deployment of Email, SMS, PRO and Print programs. Understand and document marketing channel system configuration, processes and data flow and disseminate information across Staples to enhance understanding Identify and implement improvements to reduce Email, SMS, PRO or Print process complexity, improve execution efficiency and accuracy, and positively impact customer experience for all retail programs Develop and deliver user training materials with formal and informal training sessions as needed Innovation and Change Continuously improve targeted marketing processes and system configurations to ensure best in class ecosystem Support corporate effort to consolidate and streamline marketing platforms through partnership with technology and analytics team to improve customer data visibility across the business focused on improving customer experience Qualifications Get great perks. MBA preferred 4-7 years of experience in marketing operations with a focus in Email, Print, and SMS channels 3-5 years of extensive experience in best practices and test execution using Email, Print, and SMS channels in a fast-changing environment supporting retail customers Preferred Skills And Experience Proven ability to structure projects and independently lead the execution of complex marketing campaigns, supporting strategy development, creating tactical plans, managing budgets and reporting results Demonstrated analytical skills. Will be responsible for obtaining data, running reports and drawing conclusions from analysis. Exposure to and familiarity with campaign analysis and reporting platforms (ESP reporting systems, Tableau, etc.) Demonstrated proficiency in Email automation platforms is preferred. Superior MS Office skills - specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook are a must. Experience working with/managing agencies and/or vendors is needed.
