The Director for Grants and Projects leads the development of strategic funding opportunities for CSWE. The Director creates a fund development plan that fosters anti-racist and anti-oppressive principles. Further, the Director develops alliances with organizations, agencies, corporations, and foundations both within and external to social work to enhance collaboration on issues critical to social work education through grants and partnerships. The Director for Grants and Projects within the Division of Education will provide leadership for the activities associated with grants and contracts. Leadership includes, grant writing, grant management, compliance, and report writing. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for researching funding opportunities that align with the organization's mission and strategic plan. The position may provide support to related governance groups. Essential Duties and Responsibilities . Set anti-racist and inclusive funding priorities that are aligned with the organization's mission and strategic goals. . Develop and manage grant program design and implementation . Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process. . In conjunction with accounting department, manage the fiscal administration of grant awards including managing budgets. . Manage the submission of funder reports. . Ensure grant compliance within rules and regulations by the grantor. . Develop and facilitate grantmaking processes including review and selection that seeks to elevate the strengths of grantees and eliminates anti-oppressive elements. . Conduct prospect research for appropriate funding opportunities, focusing on grantors that are equity-minded guided by anti-racism and anti-oppression. . Establish and maintain relationships with grant funders and stakeholders. . Devise organizational best practices in grant management. . The physical demands of this position are limited to the ability to use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment; move up to 25 lbs.; move articles used in program activities. Occasional travel within the United States may be necessary.
