As the Director of Investments within PNC's Institutional Asset Management organization, you will be based in Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Philadelphia PA, or Denver CO. In addition, this position can be based in any location within the Institutional Asset Management footprint.This role is part of the Institutional Asset Management leadership team, and will lead the Regional Investment Directors, will work with Institutional Asset Management teams and clients, and will partner with the Investment Office.Preferred skills/experience:Strong investment acumenLeadership experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide guidance and partner with investment professionalsJob DescriptionAccountable to lead the execution of PNC investment experience, portfolio activities and risk management for the assigned geography. Accountable for leading the maintenance and growth of assets under management for the assigned geography. May provide portfolio and relationship management services to a select number of sophisticated clients with complex accounts. May be accountable for the development and acquisition of investment professionals for the assigned geography.Leads and oversees the investment market directors/investment professionals of the assigned geography to ensure portfolios and/or platform, if applicable, are managed in accordance with account objectives and are inclusive of the PNC investment approach, philosophy and platform. May provide portfolio/platform and relationship management services for a select number of sophisticated clients with large and complex portfolios.Creates and leads the consistent execution of the PNC investment experience to clients. Directs actionable advice and provides risk management and market insight for the assigned geography.Accountable to lead the growth of assets under management and retention of clients for the assigned geography. Serves as a primary resource and proactively supports the geography's acquisition of new clients and expansion of services. May lead select investment sales opportunities for sophisticated and complex investments.Ensures execution of the performance management, hiring and coaching of the investment market directors and directs the investment professionals for the assigned geography. Oversees the risk management practices of the assigned geography through the adherence to PNC's policies and procedures. Proactively identifies, resolves or escalates risk management issues. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.EducationBachelorsAdditional Job DescriptionCOMPENSATIONBase Salary : $100,000 to $345,000Where a person is paid in the compensation range is aligned to their experience and skills.
