Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Human Resources (HR) senior leadership team and the Vice President of Human Resources in Linthicum, Maryland and Fair Lakes, Virginia. You will communicate with enterprise-wide partners, executives, administrative and line management employees. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, possess the ability to work with other professionals collaboratively, possess agility and the desire to adapt to constantly changing demands and demonstrate a capability to take on new and unfamiliar tasks/technologies. Ideally you will demonstrate an ability to multi-task as you manage several priorities for senior HR leadership team members. Strong project management skills will be necessary as will emotional intelligence, integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgment.In this role, you will be responsible for performing varied duties such as data review and analysis as well as project assistance in support of the HR senior leadership team and the Vice President of Human Resources. The successful candidate must have the ability to support and coordinate meetings and events and manage calendars for the VP and selected members of the senior leadership team. You will also have responsibility for preparing and releasing a variety of communications, presentations, and documents; designing and maintaining procedures which includes appropriate access to confidential information; preparing and adjusting travel arrangements and completing timely expense reports. An ability to act and make decisions in alignment with the preferences and style of the VP and the senior leadership team will be key.Key attributes for success are:Be highly organized with ability to adapt rapidly to changing priorities, juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesExperienced and comfortable in high-stress, fast-paced environments, particularly those relating to sensitive, delicate, or emergency situations with demonstrated strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skillsExhibit the ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse workforce across multiple levelsProven experience adapting to new tools/technologiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsThis position supports leaders located in Linthicum, MD and Fair Lakes, VA and has the flexibility to be located in either location, with occasional travel between sites. The position is eligible for a 9/80 work schedule. Partial telework is permitted due to the pandemic, but candidates must be in the Washington DC/VA/MD area and must be willing to work on-site as needed. This position also may require occasional nonstandard work hours in support of business schedules.Basic Qualifications:High school diploma and a minimum of six years additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional field or a bachelor's degree with two years' experience in the administrative professional fieldComputer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office 365 software; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel - specifically the ability to perform functions in Excel such as V-Lookup, pivot tables, formulas.Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote video teleconference meetings (such as Zoom, Skype, MS Teams)U.S. CitizenPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fieldPrevious experience in Human ResourcesExperience with Workday Human ResourcesDemonstrated business acumen and analytical skillsSalary Range: 66200 - 115500Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
