Job Summary: The Carter Intralogistics Sr. HR Business Partner will have the opportunity to join a growing HR team that supports various Lummus entities located throughout the United States. This role is based in the Carter Intralogistics headquarters in Frederick, MD. The Sr. HRBP will act as an HR Generalist, and will mainly be responsible for supporting daily activities within the HR Shared Services Team. This individual works with the HR Shared Services team and management team to maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations as well as the established policies. Daily tasks will require execution of HR support for both business leaders and employees, updating and managing the HRIS system, working with the Talent team to on-board new hires, helps implement company policies, helps support VP T&C with implementation of other key HR projects, manages employee performance and coaching processes, and assisting other aspects of HR. Proactive planning and scheduling will be required. Time management and communications skills are critical. This role reports to the VP of Talent & Culture for the Lummus Group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as internal front-line support responding to inquiries from employees, and management regarding HR processes, policies and procedures for the Intralogistics division. Promotes collaboration with all departments to build continual improvement within the company. Partners with department managers to assist with goal planning, and performance management. Participates on multiple cross-functional projects providing HR guidance and knowledge and ensuring compliance with system policies and procedures. May participate in local recruiting during ramp up and in support or local hiring events with the Talent team. Uses on-boarding process for and initiating employee records into payroll and HRIS. Responsible for keeping accurate records of benefit deductions, and employee changes, and submitting updates to Payroll & Benefits Specialist. Accountable for completing accurate and timely I9 processing. Maintains all personnel records in accordance with EEO, privacy, and company retention policies. Advises management teams regarding prompt and accurate completion of all status changes and updates information in the HRIS system. Ensures compliance with city, state, and federal laws. Responsible for pro-active employee relations, effectively supports and fosters the company's Open-Door Policy. Provides guidance to all employees to ensure consistent adherence to HR policies, procedures, and practices. Appropriately addresses employee complaints, issues, and policy violations in a timely manner and in accordance with established disciplinary policies and procedures. Handles off-boarding process including conducting exit interviews, terminating system access and ensuring distribution of COBRA paperwork. Travel to and from other local company sites is required. Overnight travel up to 10% of the time for job fairs, meetings, or other HR events. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of successful experience in a Human Resources Generalist role Confirmed history of being an employee AND company champion. History of playing a lead role in trans-formative company change projects. Strong experience in coaching and working in a continuous improvement environment. HRIS system experience required, previous experience with Paycor preferred. Experience is preferred in manufacturing, intralogistics, construction, or industrial industries Flexibility and adaptability needed as priorities of the position change. Strong communication (oral and written) skills and problem-solving abilities. Must be detail oriented, organized with effective time management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when dealing with employee issues. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, web-based benefit portals, web-based payroll systems, with preference on experience with Paycor's suite of HRIS products Positive attitude with results-driven work ethic.
