To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. We're looking for people who are detail-oriented and analytical thinkers with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities in this role- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable- Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Take part in various department-wide initiatives- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus- Proficient in ERP systems- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases- Competent with spreadsheets and databases- Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills- Recent and relevant accounting experience Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
