Position Summary and Responsibilities TBE is seeking a cloud systems administrator to support advanced analytics efforts within the US Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED). The candidate will be responsible for working in a mixed Windows and Linux AWS (Amazon Web Services) environment, managing cloud infrastructure services and multiple cloud servers. The candidate oversees and maintains multiuser computing environments per organizational requirements. The individual in this position must have strong technical knowledge of virtual machines (IaaS, Writing Code (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). The cloud systems administrator will develop, configure, implement, and manage the systems that comprise the underlying cloud platform. The professional assists in setting up public or private cloud systems and will be responsible for balancing workloads and deploying them in an automated way. The candidate will be required to monitor and alter the systems as per the prescribed methodology. The Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for establishing and executing cloud operations as per specifications and parameters, including meeting all cyber security and information assurance configuration and management requirements. . Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.. Minimum 6 years of professional experience managing instances of cloud infrastructure services and multiple cloud servers, leading efforts to implement and maintain multi-user computing environments. . Hands-on experience with data compute, storage, and security components using AWS Cloud Data Warehousing Services such as Redshift.. Experience in migrating workloads/data from on-premises to the cloud, and cloud to cloud.. Superb communication skills with the ability to elicit goals, needs, and outcomes with Leaders at all levels across different functions.Highly Desirable Skills and Characteristics. AWS Core concepts (Operation, Security, IAM, Networking, CLI/SDK).. Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Lake Formation, Containerization).. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining AWS EC2, RDS, and OpenSearch services.. Experience with working in a Linux environment preferably as an Administrator.. Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and?obtaining authority?to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system?architectures.. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills..
