As part of our growth, we are searching for a dynamic Technical Manager - Systems Engineering Lead to help drive technical innovation to world renowned healthcare and research organizations in the Washington, DC metro area, and around the world. This position is based in Rockville, MD.Responsibilities: - Lead a 10+ member team of engineers responsible for delivering technical projects, IT operations, endpoint security remediation and Level 3 IT technical support- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group of staff members, stakeholders, executive leadership, teaming partners and third-party vendors- Provide advice, guidance and industry best practices surrounding IT Operations efforts associated with computing endpoint application support, change management, release management, incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for problem resolution- Responsible for the overall success of the ENDPOINT Platform Engineering team through effective leadership, communication, coaching and mentoring- Validate requirements with stakeholders as they relate to current environments and future trends- Perform industry recommended best practices for IT Systems engineering, solution design and implementation support for an enterprise environment comprised of 10,000+ end points (PC/Mac), and 1,000+ mobile devices. Requirements:- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related engineering, business, information management, computer science, physical science, professional or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.- 10+ years of progressive experience providing IT support services and delivering IT technical solutions within a large enterprise environment- 5+ years of leading and/or supervising technical teams- Experience with development, release, change, knowledge management, and end-user support systems- Solid understanding of and demonstrated hands-on experience with one or more of the following: - Microsoft Azure Administration & DevOps - HCL BigFix Lifecycle Administration - JAMF Administration - Windows Server OS, PowerShell, System Center Operation and Configuration Management (MS-SCCM).- At least 1 IT certification in EACH of the following categories: - Computing Environments: - Microsoft MSCE / MCSA (Operating Systems, Core Infrastructure) - AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Professional - VMware Data Center Virtualization (DCV) - Design or Dep - Network+ or Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) - Cyber Security: - CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional or higher (CySA+, CASP) - (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) - IT Service Management: - ITIL: Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3 or higher - Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance.Job Requirements:Desired Experience:- Prior hands on experience with endpoint management solutions and tools such as SCCM, BigFix, JAMF, Group Policy, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit Apps, Active Directory and PowerShell.- Strong Windows Operating System Management experience, including advanced experience with Active Directory.- Experience with virtualization tools and environments (VMware, VSphere, Parallels, Terminal Services) and cloud computing environments (such as AWS, Azure, Office365), ideally within a large Government environment.- Enterprise environment experience supporting one or more of the following desktop operating systems: Windows 10, macOS or Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu).- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with stakeholders (including infrastructure, security, and institute leadership) regarding active projects and operational issues.- Working knowledge of Federal health IT enterprise technologies.- System hardening, monitoring and enhancement experience.- General server/storage technical operational practices.- Design and support for technical project artifacts (including timelines, design documents, implementation plans, configuration specifications and test plans).- Strong understanding of ITIL best practices.- Consult and assist customers with Windows server and application hosting solutions.The Company: Innovation, Collaboration and Agility - at GRSi these aren't buzz words, they're our mantra.GRSi is an ISO certified and CMMI/dev-ML3 rated professional services organization with expertise that covers all areas of information technology and professional engineering services -- from systems integration; Agile, Iterative and Waterfall software development; multi-tier infrastructure support; to full spectrum cyber security and enterprise systems support.
