Responsibilities Technica is seeking an experienced Java Developer to help develop, support, and modernize a mission- critical application for our customer, a world-wide recognized organization responsible for law enforcement and intelligence efforts. In this role you will help develop, deploy, and maintain mission critical applications. You will also provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions. This includes involvement with users to define systems scope and objectives, as well as contributing to design decisions. Requirements * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (will be required to take CI Polygraph). * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred or relevant field or higher. * Work on new Java development and re-engineering efforts, including making systems design decisions * Implement enhancements to existing system in addition to coordinating with other developers working in parallel and preform QA/testing as needed. * Provide software development services on all tiers (UI, Java, Oracle) * 3+ years software development experience * 2+ years of Java/JEE development, software engineering and problem-solving experience * Ability to quickly become proficient in new technologies Desired * Desired additional skills and or certifications: * Oracle and Hibernate experience strongly preferred * Experience with or the ability to learn Adobe/Apache Flex * Experience with Subversion (SVN), Apache Any, Gradle, Spring, REST web services * User Interface design experience, strong attention to detail and user experience (UX Design) * Experience with automated ETL (Exact, Transform and Load) processes * Experience working in a large, enterprise environment.
