**Type of Requisition:** Regular **Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain:** Secret **Public Trust/Other Required:** None **Job Family:** Systems Engineering Join an exciting and dynamic team delivering a large-scale Enterprise Common Tools cloud platform, automation & orchestration, and Cloud Application Migration effort for the Army. This team works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with engineering, migration, and operations & sustainment of cloud migration efforts. Enterprise Common Tools and specific Army program customer migration efforts provide a range of day-to-day challenges, while the bigger picture architecture and migration efforts provide tangible milestones that the team pursues together following AGILE practices, to deliver the overall program effort. We're looking for self-starter Leads and technical engineers, to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments, in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity and communications. We're looking to fill this role/team with those who currently have the cloud experience, certifications, and skills to execute in large enterprise environments, are flexible and enjoy tackling challenges, and desire to join a large team that is building and sustaining a large multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating the enterprise. The Candidate will have the responsibilities in Operational Leadership including: + Manage the System Administration team with a span of control extending to all contractual obligations for the program + Account for overall service delivery from multiple tracks (MNS, Wintel, Virtualization, Unix, Storage, Backup, etc.) + Build and maintain customer relationships, meeting customer expectations. + Effectively monitor, control, and deliver services within agreed SLAs utilizing different methodologies, tools, and ITIL processes + Implement processes to identify, predict, and correct potential issues that interrupt business activities and/or decrease efficiency and production handling escalations in a timely fashion + Ensure a standardized service for all customers. + Manages assigned staff which may include subordinate supervisors. + May manage the development of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives. + Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities. + Manages and prioritizes information systems needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility. + Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation. + May oversee ordering process to effectively and economically meet objectives. + Provides guidance and solutions to ensure the information systems needs align with the strategic departmental initiatives. **SCOPE:** Manages or supervises medium to large sized team. **QUALIFICATIONS:** **Required skills and experience:** + BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8-10+ years of experience (Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area is preferred) + Experience with Linux/Red Hat OS, and Windows Server OS 2012 and above + Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization + Ability to directly manage clients for distributed service delivery, experience in customer management as well as vendor management, services review with customer + Ability to meet dynamic customer expectations by constantly innovating new ways of service delivery within the project constraints (budget/manpower) by enhancing productivity and implementing cost effective solutions + Experience in IT projects planning, execution and control + Expertise in reviewing projects progress / performance, establishing milestones, and ensuring delivery on time. + Demonstrated experience in people management - resources management, quality review, workload analysis, future goal setting, performance review, setting growth paths, etc. + A strong understanding of business processes and expertise in managing operations following the ITIL processes + Active Secret clearance is required to start. **Desired skills and experience:** + Experience with Cloud Computing, active cloud certification in AWS, Google or Azure (AWS Preferred) + Cloud migration experience + Advanced degree **Skills and Attributes:** + Excellent listening and interpersonal skills + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Strong attention to detail and requirements + Motivational leader This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18.
