It's busy! Your managers will trust you to get the job done. It's a big challenge and that's why we want an individual with outstanding project management skills. Now, fast forward one year. You have made a noticeable contribution to the educational facilities of a major university. You have worked with the end-user clients, furniture installers and furniture dealerships to ensure that finished spaces are ready. You'll be beat, but don't worry. Next December, you'll have two weeks off for a paid holiday. Yes, this is in addition to the other GMU holidays, great benefits, and retirement plan. Please note - the two weeks winter break employees often receive during the holiday season is not regularly guaranteed and is subject to annual approval. We know, it's a good gig. Here's what the job looks like…Responsibilities:Assist in the implementation of interior design projects;Communication and coordination with university interior designers, planners, electricians, building contractors, furniture installers, department liaisons, and other vendors; Provide interior project management for design projects by formulating a design plan including electric and data coordination for projects, developing project timelines, and coordinating with project managers for contractor schedules;Develop and provide punch lists for installations and coordinate final punch items and walk-throughs;Update the design library with manufacturer products and fabrics; Lead meetings to provide project updates and information on design projects related to quotes and delivery timetables; andDevelop project specific move/relocation plans, move coordination and case management related to specific requirements pre or post move. Execute move coordination of physical box moves, furniture installations, furniture reconfigurations, data/telecom coordination, and key control access requirements. Required Qualifications:Organized, creative, collaborative, supportive;Experience with commercial interiors or furniture dealerships; andDirect experience (generally 1 to 3 years) with project coordination and move management.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in interior design or business management; andFF&E, ACAD, and CAP Studio experience.
