• Evaluate and analyze public health issues, programs, and policies to advise management on public health policies, operations, and services and to contribute to the improvement of public health programs.
• Track, monitor, and evaluate current or potential information and data sources associated with regulated products and programs involving governmental and non-governmental organizations.
• Interpret policies and guidelines applicable to office analyses and evaluations and provides advice to management on related matters.

Qualifications

The position of Public Health Analyst falls under the 0685 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-13, you must meet the following requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 01/21/2022.

Minimum Qualifications

Specialized Experience. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

• You must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that includes experience: evaluating and analyzing public health issues, policies, and programs; assessing data sources and conducting public health research (independently or as part of a team); advising on public health policies, operations, or services; recommending improvements to public health programs/initiatives.
