Security EngineerLocation: Remote - United StatesThe security of customers' data and systems is of paramount importance to Dell Technologies. Our Product and Application Security team designs and develops software and systems to minimize security risks within our products. As experts working at the forefront of security, we undertake vulnerability response handling, implement the secure development lifecycle, coordinate security certifications, and develop common software security components and toolkits. As well as ensuring the authenticity and integrity of the product code during product development, we mitigate risks of sourcing and delivery of counterfeit or maliciously tainted components in our products.Join us as a Security Engineer on our Product & Application Security team located remotely in the United States to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you'll achieveAs a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and delivery of customized security technologies to meet organizational demands. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gather requirements to configure security technologies.You will:Maintain, configure and administer computer systems, servers and security technologies broadly used in the industryInstall and upgrade components and software, manage servers, migrations and integrate automation processesPerform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover proceduresManage application upgrades with scheduled downtime and preemptive communication to internal customersAnalyze, review, and document current functionality in applications to determine potential areas of improvement; continuous optimization for a very good customer experienceAnalyze code and logs and learn the architecture of systems; identify, troubleshoot and drive prioritization of operational issues in coordination with vendorsWrite custom scripts to automate processes, and work closely with development teamsSupport system integration and testing during the development process, including the development of integration and verification plansPerform application administration tasks; manage user accounts, permissions for technologies according to the needs of projects and teamsProactively identify areas of improvement and innovative solutions to complex problemsTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements3+ years working experience with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS) and Product IT3+ years of systems management/administration automation in Perl, Python, Ruby, JAVA, NodeJS or related experienceStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skillsProven track record in installation, configuration and administration of softwareProven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues, drive improvements and preventative measuresDesired RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experienceKnowledge of SDL (Secure Development Lifecycle) preferredHands-on experience with Security technologies preferredHere's our story; now tell us yoursDell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
