The Company:We have been retained by one of the most prestigious, prominent commercial real estate owners/developers in the metro Washington DC area. The company is looking for a bright, high-potential individual to join their development team. For the past 20 years, the company has focused on value creation across all asset classes, including office, multi-family, retail, hotel, and land held for development. The company has completed over $4.7B of transactions in the DC area, achieving exceptional returns. The portfolio is currently over 3.5M square feet, and will rapidly grow to over 5M square feet upon the upcoming completion of a major mixed-use development project. The executive management team is highly reputable and widely recognized for being strategic, innovative, and entrepreneurial. Position:In this newly created role, this person will collaborate and report directly to the Senior Vice President of Development, who has an impressive career background and is an excellent mentor. This person will have the unique opportunity to work on iconic, nationally recognized, high-end, complex development and repositioning projects in the DC metro area, with a strong emphasis on multifamily projects. This person will be instrumental in the complete life cycle of development, from entitlement through execution of projects. Given the collaborative work environment, this person will also have excellent interaction with multiple areas of the company, including leasing, acquisitions, asset management, and accounting. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a highly reputable, best-in-class organization, coupled with excellent career pathing on a long-term basis.Requirements:Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.MBA or MS in Real Estate preferred.4-6 years of relevant commercial real estate development project management experience.Experience in multifamily product type required. Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software.Familiarity with residential rent tracking software such as CoStar or Axiometrics.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Given the exposure and visibility this person will have, the successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communications skills.Self-motivated with the ability to effectively allocate time between multiple tasks, deadlines, and opportunities.
