We are looking to hire an intermediate level A/V Programmer and Field Technician for an upcoming contract in Alexandria, VA. This position will report onsite at a federal facility.The role requires onsite installer services to replace end-of-life (EOL) audio-visual (AV) equipment with GFE, upgrade firmware on AV equipment, install display and camera wall mounts, ceiling array microphones, and wireless wall mounted microphone receivers, and run AV cabling. The position will require travel and work for one week each at four regional government offices. Qualified individuals should be capable of supporting AV enhancement installations and replacing EOL AV equipment with GFE equipment.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToProject Delivery Serve as a member of the operations project team that delivers proposed solutions to the customer to ensure deliverables are met. Provide customer/business orientation, technical input, and overall project consultation. When designated, performs the role of Project Manager for selected projects.Provides guidance and training to less experienced programmers and installation technicians; Provide status reports and briefings to management on as needed basisTroubleshooting, re-installation, and new installation of electronic communication systems, including but not limited to video teleconferencing (VTC), audio-video (A/V) presentation, cable TV distribution systems and equipment. Assists with voice/data structured cabling installations.ProgrammingPlans, develops and tests AMX, Biamp, Cisco, Crestron, and QSC (or other OEM) control system programs for A/V equipmentDevelops programming modules for Poly, Cisco (or other OEM) VTC CodecsDesigns intuitive Touch PanelsRequirementsHigh school diploma required, Associate's degree or higher preferred.2+ years of experience with A/V Installation and 1+ years of Crestron and QSC programming, certification strongly preferred.CTS certification preferred.Must have cabling experience and be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and schematicsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Must be capable of obtaining government security clearance and possess a valid driver's license; Secret clearance or higher preferred.Business Travel - Estimated at 10%, capable of travel on short notice (CONUS)Ability to work after hours and on weekends in support of project requirementsMust be able to bend, squat, crawl or climb and lift up to 50 lbs.Key Competencies/BehaviorsPositive attitude, warm and inviting personalityTeam oriented, works well with othersPlanning and organizational skillsAdaptability and stress toleranceResults oriented, capable of meeting deadlinesBenefits: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Vision Insurance, Long-term Disability Insurance, 401k Plan, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Sick Days, Paid HolidaysScreening Requirements: Background Check, Credit Check, Drug Testing
