You are invited to be part of the best and brightest Missile Software Engineers who plays an active role in the assessment and evaluation of all aspects of the SM3 missile software as well as the interfaces and communications between the missile and the Aegis Weapons System. TEAMS Next was recently awarded as the Defense Technology Solutions provider for the next 7+ years. Supporting the development of a highly integrated and effective MDS capability to defend the United States, deployed forces, allies, and friends against missile threats in all phases of flight. What You Will Be Doing With US: Be part of the leading edge of the most successful missile defense program in DOD. Be part a team hitting a bullet with a bullet while protecting US forces and the homeland, Develop and analyze the software necessary to make an extremely highspeed intercept successful. Work with some of the greatest minds in the country in both industry and academia, as well as the top research and development labs. Responsible to the technical assessment of SM3 missile software as it relates to the Aegis Weapons System in the execution of the Missile Defense Mission. Responsible for evaluating post and pre mission assessments as they relate to the SM3 family of missiles and providing technical recommendations to the Program Chief Engineer and Program Manager. Participate in budget planning and schedule development. What We Need from You: US Citizenship with Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or BS in related technical field 3+ years of experience in software engineering Ability and willing to do a limited amount of travel will be required and should expect to attend all planning, preparation, execution and post test evaluation for both ground and flight tests. These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have: Active Top-Secret Clearance 5+ years of experience in software engineering Active-duty experience in the Navy as a Fire Controlman, Aegis Qualified Officer. Experience in the translation of requirements to physical Software code which will work outside of the laboratory.
