Responsibilities ResponsibilitiesYour primary duties will involve using data science to assist in analyzing scientific and management problems across the Air Systems Group, which includes Propulsion and Power, and Air Vehicles. You will perform work that involves designing, developing, and adapting processes and tools to perform analyses on big data. You are expected to be proficient in the utilization of scientific tools, including MATLAB, Python, Tableau, Visual Basic, and other programming and dashboarding utilities. You will also be involved in providing insight in project planning to develop analysis tools. The primary requirement of the work is competence in rigorous data science techniques.You will be required to apply knowledge of Machine learning, Natural language processing and other programming techniques, to the collection, processing, compilation, computation, analysis, editing, and presentation of statistical data. The work does not require the application of professional knowledge of Air Systems Group. Qualifications Required Qualifications A minimum requirement of a BS degree in data analytics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field. 1-3 years experience with manipulating and analyzing large data sets 1-3 years experience with MATLAB, Python, Tableau, Visual Basic, and other programming and dashboarding utilities. Desired Qualifications Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong oral and written communication skills; including presentation skills capable of defending a technical position and/or recommendation. Self-directed team player with proven ability to deliver tasks timely and efficiently, and a demonstrated ability to interact professionally with all levels of management High level problem solving and interpersonal skills Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment Experience in the aerospace, and/or defense industries Security Clearance: This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
