Job SummaryAECOM has a position available for a Microgrid Solution Architect to join our most exciting Clean Energy initiative pursuing projects for clients in the municipal, defense, C and higher education market segments. This position will be primarily remote based, with some travel, and can be filled from anywhere in the United States, with a preference for some proximity to AECOM Energy offices.The Solution Architect will lead the development of projects in collaboration with regional BDMs to advance engineering solution and services to AECOM customers.Activities and responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:Develop models of the microgrid electrical power and energy system using conventional and advanced analysis tools, Use the tools to verifies stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.Use AECOM existing or seek out the development or application of new engineering design tools to select and develop microgrid solutions.Conducting studies, to determine system stability under all operation modes and conditionsBe the technical lead on microgrid opportunities and assigned projects,Participates in design, deployment and commissioning of microgrids and microgrid control systems,Provides day-to-day technical support to development teams throughout AECOM.Documents designs, develop specifications, system approval test procedures and instructions, and other system-related information.Authors and prepare customer reports and technical papers for conferences,Work closely with business development director on the assessment of new opportunities.Actively participates in development and delivery of training of additional resources in his/her area of expertise,Provides strategic input in identification of and securing business with new customers,Builds relationship with the customers, subcontractors, product engineering team, and others throughout the project development cycle.May provide oversight of a project team to assure technical and financial milestones are met.About AECOMAt AECOM, we believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone.
