Belvoir, VA areaThe Lead Senior Network Engineer provides customer technical support through assessment, management, and offering resolutions Regularly be on-site at customer premises Handle multi-variable environments and any potential issues or difficulties and Identify potential opportunities for additional business. Support the customer Aruba Wireless environment actively develop mobility solutions Ability to design / implement / troubleshoot Aruba policy via ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) Ability to troubleshoot user and computer-based certificate authentication. Ability to design Aruba traffic flow Play an active role in building test beds, conducting verification, and validation testing. Remain committed to expanding customer HPE-Aruba technical expertise through attendance of coaching sessions, design reviews, and workshops Design, deploy and troubleshoot IP and wireless networks such as IP network security, certification, authentication, enterprise IP networking, IP network management, remote access, and network access controls A deep knowledge of layer 2/3 networking, authentication/authorization and/or 802.11 wireless technologies is a must as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.As part of this role, you will be expected to participate in the weekly rotational after-hours 24x7 on-call support and perform other assigned tasks as needed by departmental requirements.Job Description:Oversees all technical aspects of the project.Serves as the main point of contact for all technical issues related to the project.Has an Aruba Wireless technical background that facilitates understanding of Government technicalrequirements and communication with the BITI PMOWorks closely with BITI PMO-specified personnel to facilitate effective planning andaccomplishment of critical objectives in a timely mannerIf the Prime contractor uses subcontractors, manages all subcontractor interface requirements in conjunction with the Program manager.Notifies the BITI PMO and the contractor's Program Manager, immediately, of any problems or issuesApprove/Signoff all engineering documents before submitting to the Government.Provide on-site support may require remote access (pending COVID travel restrictions) for the Mobility Master Controller and Central Management System (Airwave Management System) installation and remote reach-back support shall be provided for the duration of the local controller, GSU NAC, and AP installations.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Five (5) years of technical supervisory experience to provide supervision, direction, and control of technical/engineering personnel.A scientific, technical, or engineering Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university. Accredited schools are those reported to the US Department of Education and maintained within the Secretary of Education's database.Network engineering technical certification equivalent to Certified Network Professional (CCNP) for Wired and Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP) for Wireless.CompTIA Security certification.Wireless Experience: Five to ten (5-10) years' experience designing, configuring and implementing a wireless network. Experience in Network planning, design strategies for an enterprise WLAN, design of infrastructure and network services, designing WLAN RF, advanced wireless site surveying, 802.11 security design, and troubleshooting of WLAN design.DoD Secret security clearance.Aruba certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP). Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)PreferredSoftware: ClearPass, Introspect, Airwave, and Virtual Mobility Master.Hardware: Switches, Routers, IoT (Basic), Wi-Fi (Basic), Bluetooth Low Energy (Basic), Wireless Controller, Access Points, Cape Sensors, and ServersWireless: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, WLAN, Wireless Mesh, RF, Voice over Wireless, Security over WirelessVirtualization: OpenStack, ESXI, and VMWareInfra-Services: DHCP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, and NTP; and Operating SystemsConsistent with Presidential Executive Order 14042, you must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
