General Description As part of the Office of Advancement Services (OAS) Project Management Office (PMO), designs and delivers training programs covering systems and technology solutions for Development and Alumni Relations. Develops, prepares, and manages course materials. Develops and delivers classroom training and facilitates learning laboratory sessions. Partners with others to develop and deliver online training where appropriate. Leverages customer service data and customer feedback to improve existing offerings and inform development of new ones. Reviews technical training curriculum for instructional integrity, currency and effectiveness. Reports directly to the Director for Project & Change Management with a dotted line to the Associate Director for Learning & Development in the Office of Human Resources. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Creates and maintains effective technical training programs. Ensures training meets the standards of instructional systems design. Partners with Learning & Development team where appropriate. Contributes to the development, delivery, and enhancement of individual courses and the overall curriculum associated with the constituent database and other products and services. Ensures learning objectives, curriculum outlines, task analysis data, performance standards, content sequencing, and other considerations are properly addressed. Works closely with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives and then contributes to the design and development of a course or courses that address them. Determines necessary facilities, equipment, and instructional materials needed to support training programs and makes appropriate arrangements. Delivers end-user training and support for complex constituent database application (all modules and functionality) along with other products and services. Partners with subject matter experts to co-teach or co-facilitate courses where appropriate. Collaborates with others to develop online training. Develops scripts and storyboards that enable the production of e-courses. Utilizes both established and emerging technologies to deliver training online. Stays abreast of developments and trends in the use and efficacy of various technologies. Assists with developing and deploying methods for measuring training effectiveness in concert with Learning & Development and incorporates learnings into delivery and design of future courses. Develops and maintains end user documentation and performance support tools. Performs functional end-user testing for constituent database and its various modules as needed. Serves as a resource regarding product enhancements. Provides expertise and consulting for customer service issues related to the constituent database. Partners with Learning & Development to update and maintain the technical training catalog in the learning management system to include course descriptions and logistics, participant registrations, course completions, etc. Produces session materials. Prints, assembles, and organizes participant materials. Compiles instructor/facilitator materials and supplies. Prepares meeting rooms (various locations) for sessions including moving and arranging tables and chairs, setting up flipcharts, setting up computer and projector. Prepares computer training lab to include logging into computers, placing materials, etc. Addresses issues that may arise regarding room scheduling, participant communications, facilitator communications, room preparation, etc. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
