Outside of those core hours, the schedule is flexible!nIn this civil engineering role, you design roadway drainage and stormwater management facilities. You review the development of engineering design details, specifications, contract drawings, and estimates to verify compliance with criteria. Staying up-to-date on current design trends and methodologies helps you to deliver the best engineering work for our clients. You enjoy getting away from your desk to participate in presentations as well as perform fieldwork for inspections and research. Using your expertise, you assist in training new employees in using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software. You take pride in using your unique knowledge and abilities to provide quality work and excellent client service!nnWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUnnBachelor of Science degree in civil engineeringnProfessional engineer registrationn5+ years of stormwater design experiencenUnderstanding of H & H AnalysesnKnowledge about using Bentley CADD software to design storm drainage systems, and stormwater management facilities as well as erosion and sediment control features for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) or other Virginia localitiesnnExperience with municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) or total (maximum daily loads) TMDL compliance, stream or outfall stabilization design, and flood plain analysis is desired but not required.
