Position Summary:The Manager of Perioperative Services (OR Nurse Manager) reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and provides nursing management and oversight of the Operating Room, including the assessment, planning, provision and evaluation of patient care and nursing services. The main Operating Room at Northwest Hospital consists of 6 rooms in the suite, as well as a Surgical Center on campus. The OR has 60 FTE's including surgical techs, RNs, and support staff. The OR does around 6000+ cases per year. Provides clinical patient care management, ensures the cost-effectiveness and quality management of the Operating Room. Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members. Hold staff accountable for achieving optimal efficiencies and patient care outcomes. Manages human resources to assure quality services and promote positive employee relations.Education/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required: MSN preferred or enroll within 12 months of hireNational Certification (CNOR) required.Maryland Registered Nurse License (RN) and American Heart Association CPR (BLS)Must have 5-7 years of relevant experiencePrior OR leadership experience preferredLocation: LifeBridge Health .
