Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is looking for a Principal or Senior Principal Production Control Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team environment at the Advanced Technology Labs (ATL) in Linthicum, Maryland. You will be working in a Foundry environment, supporting the manufacturing process of integrated circuits for production and development programs on a variety of processing nodes with a central team focus to predict, plan, and schedule production activities.Roles and Responsibilities:Track priority lotsReport lab performance, including operations metricsCoordinate priorities within dispatch queuesCreate racetrack and waterfall charts for Work In Progress (WIP)Maintain the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and regularly update product due datesAnalyze manufacturing processes, mechanisms and equipment for efficiency and utilizationPerform statistical analysis to assess the performance of equipment, processes and functions to reduce cycle times, including capacity studies and WIP prioritizationCoordinate with area supervisors and program managers for releasing material into the foundry, test, and/or assembly areasConduct briefings and technical meetings for management and customer representativesThe Production Control Engineer should have a demonstrated track record of working and communicating with upper management & customer representatives as well as a be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervisory oversight. This requisition may be filled as a Principal Production Control Engineer or Senior Principal Production Control Engineer based on the qualifications below. #NGATLBasic Qualifications for Principal Production Control Engineer:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant professional experience (3 years with an MS or 0 years with PhD)Manufacturing experience in a planning, engineering, or operations capacityProcess creation and compliance experienceProven track record to deliver process improvementsU.S. CitizenshipThe ability to obtain and maintain a US. Secret ClearanceBasic Qualifications for Senior Principal Production Control Engineer:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM discipline with 9 years of relevant professional experience (7 years with an MS or 4 years with PhD)Manufacturing experience in a planning, engineering, or operations capacityProcess creation and compliance experienceProven track record to deliver process improvementsU.S. CitizenshipThe ability to obtain and maintain a US. Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Semiconductor manufacturing experience in a production control capacityExperience with process improvement simulation softwareExperience with VBA or JVA for data compilation and analysisFamiliarization with Tableau dashboard and RTD reportingClean room experienceActive Secret or higher level clearanceSalary Range: 96600 - 144900Salary Range 2: 119784 - 179676Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
