Facilities Management at the University of Maryland College Park seeks skilled Electricians to perform electrical maintenance work throughout campus. Must be able to perform low and high voltage troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical distribution systems and equipment throughout campus up to 13,000 volts. Should possess working knowledge of the NEC, OSHA, and MOSH regulations to insure that electrical work is performed safely. Good customer service skills, the ability to read and interpret specs and blueprints, and the ability to communicate effectively are desired for these positions. Day and evening shifts may be available. Positions are considered Essential, and subject to 24-hr day, 7 day-week span of operation.

Qualifications: 1) 4 years journey level experience in the electrical trade to include the installation and repair of wiring, equipment, and systems up to 13,000 volts. 2) A valid driver’s with fewer than 6 points.

Salary: The salary range begins at $49,503 with starting salary being commensurate with experience. These positions offer an excellent benefit package incl. health insurance, tuition remission, paid leave, and retirement.
