Within the Spark Small Business Credit Card Team, we are Small Business Proud! Our Customer Development team works with Small Business owners to create long term, meaningful relationships to better understand their business and their entire B2B wallet. Through a consultative approach, we are able to help Small Business Owners optimize the rewards and benefits they receive from their Spark Business Card.

What You'll Do

As a Small Business Sales Consultant (Sr. Inside Sales Associate), you will be assisting small businesses to thrive and to grow the Spark brand in an industry changing way. You will serve as a dedicated point of contact for Small Business SPARK Card Customers assisting them in utilizing SPARK to meet their current and future business needs. The ideal candidate will

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop portfolio growth strategies for achieving targets
  • Acquiring new relationships and growing existing relationships
  • Secure 1st time phone appointments directly with clients & prospects (cold calling)
  • Engage in phone consultations with small business owners and decision makers, learn about their needs, and recommend next steps to achieve rewards goals
  • Effectively manage pipeline of clients & prospects
  • Analyze the small business's total business spend to identify additional opportunities to leverage the Spark card
  • Assist the business with incorporating the Spark card into their purchasing platform and bookkeeping software and execute spend conversion plan
  • Teach customer that their Spark card can be the primary vehicle in their buying cycle, incorporating the Spark card into their purchasing platforms and bookkeeping software
  • Reinforce the value proposition of the Spark card
  • Follow up on small business referrals from existing client base
  • Achieve incremental charge volume targets
  • Compliant in all client activities and follow up through use of Salesforce.com


Basic Qualifications :
  • At least 3 years of experience growing existing business relationships in an inside sales environment


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • 5+ years experience growing existing business relationships and acquiring new customers in an inside or outside sales environment
  • 5+ years of experience in an inside or outside sales environment
  • 5+ years of experience meeting a sales metric or sales goal
  • 1+ year of experience working with Small Businesses Customers
  • 1+ year of experience in the financial industry
  • Strong computer skills, and ability to multitask and navigate web-based tools
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency using Google Suite
