This role reports in to the Systems Integration Manager.About the roleAs the Systems Engineer, you will support the enablement of technical expertise for systems designs and systems design-build activities, as well as coordinating the development and management of systems engineering activities on behalf of our client.What will you be doing?Working as part of an integrated project team to deliver a rail system which meets the business requirements established by the client.Helping to interpret business requirements and developing performance requirements for the rail systems specification in compliance with statute, system design, national and international standards and best industry practice.Providing advice and guidance on development within the rail systems industry so that systems specification remains at the forefront of industry in terms of safety, technology and performance.Helping to offer specialist technical guidance and support to the system integration and interfaces between rail systems and other works.Working with others to establish technical content for communication system requirements and standards for the project.Assisting in the updating of design criteria relating to communications systems for incorporation into future contracts.Helping to review, as directed, the overall safety, performance and compatibility of project designs and providing structured feedback and comment where necessary.Collaborating in, or leading, audits against requirements, process, contract or law as required.Contributing to the development of project requests for proposal (RFPs) and to the evaluation of proposals from contractors and subcontractors.Monitoring contractual commitments to check that work is being performed in accordance with specifications, drawings and terms of contract.Job Skills, Experience & QualificationsStrong railway system integration background with knowledge and understanding of the interfaces between different elements that make up a railway system;Excellent interpersonal and communications skills;Knowledge of relevant legislation, industry and company standards;Recognized professional qualifications desiredWe offer great benefits such as:Competitive remuneration packagesHealthcare insurance premiums (100% paid for by us)Generous annual leave entitlementFlexible working opportunitiesApplySound interesting?
