We are looking for a Software Development Engineer. You will be responsible for identifying critical application paths, setting up test automation, writing automated tests, and helping to establish a test automation strategy. This strategy will evolve as we move from a monolithic application to one supported by microservices. You will also assist our QA analyst with manual testing. As a key member of our product development team, you'll have the opportunity to champion a culture of quality and product confidence.Primary Responsibilities:Understand and demonstrate the principals of the Company's Mission, Vision and Values.Develop a modern test automation strategy.Assist QA analyst with manual test execution.Implement code quality measurements and procedures, including automated unit testing, gated check-in, and continuous integration.Support in-house applications ensuring rapid response to urgent business issues.Comply with policies and procedures as required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Two or more years of experience writing test automation for web and API products.Expertise with Cypress and PHPUnit.Proficient with API development & troubleshooting (eg, Postman)Experience with a variety of testing, including: Integration testing, UI and end-to-end testing.Unit and component testing.Proficient with CI/CD tools (eg, BitBucket, CircleCI, GitLab)Experience developing in PHP and JavaScript.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing with all business partners.Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and mentor peers.Other Work Requirements Weekend and evening hours may be required.
