Associate General Counsel

Firm Advice is conducting a search for an experienced commercial litigator. Our technology client, headquartered in the DC Metro area, is seeking its first in-house litigator to manage outside counsel and work with internal stakeholders and resources to ensure cases make appropriate progress through discovery, trial, and possible settlement. This position requires an inquisitive, self-confident self-starter who can lead the in-house litigation role. It is anticipated that within a year an additional junior litigator will be added to the team to support this role. Company offers a liberal telecommuting policy. REQUIREMENTSJD and membership in at least one US bar; ability to waive into VA Corporate Counsel.5 plus years' commercial breach of contract litigation experience; experience managing litigation a plus.Ability to work within an international company with different cultures across multiple time zones.Familiar with legal research platforms and case management tools.Once trained, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing issues and deadlines.
