ControllerA client of ours is looking for a Controller to join their team. This person will oversee all activities within the finance department. They are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. You will be managing about 2 individuals. Essential Functions:Manage all accounting functions to include AP/AR, financial reporting, account reconciliationsSupervise, train, and mentor a team of 2Ensure all business transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAPMonth-end/year-end closings + preparation of financial statementsStrengthen internal controls by maintaining accounting policies and business process documentationTreasury Management/Internal ControlsPayroll experienceMonitor the company's financials and communicate financial analysis, revenue and cost center analysis to help identify trends and inform future business decisionsReview and reimburse business expenses; manage cash balances, checking accounts and wire activitiesEnsure review and approval of purchase orders, payment of vendor balancesAudit support, tax filingRequirements:Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related fieldCPA preferred but not required if experience is relevantStrong knowledge of (GAAP)5+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance managerStrong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysisBackground in both public and private accounting practice preferredExperience with federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reportingMust have a solid understanding of corporate income tax lawsKnowledge of Sage or similar ERP system(s)Advanced Excel
