We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Information Technology to perform these key functions in our Houston, TX location. Position Summary: Provide overall leadership for the IT function, with responsibility of the information technology, computer systems/databases and information security for the company. Essential Functions: Oversee all technology operations (eg network security, environment management, data) and manage the IT team according to established goals Establish and monitor IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs Create technology roadmap and oversee/program manage all IT project implementations Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software utilizing proven procurement practices Continuous evaluation of the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management Develop, document, and maintain a view of the enterprises solution architecture to aid current and future initiatives Access, refine and implement effective and efficient Helpdesk and Incident Management tools Ensure proper information security measures are in place with continuous proactive monitoring and updates (including Disaster Recovery Plan) Build, monitor and maintain IT budget Follow and adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation (as applicable to position and department); and as required by ISO (such as SOPs, CAPAs, document control, and control of records) Job Requirements and Skill Sets: Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus Ten years of related work experience, preferably in manufacturing environment Proven experience as IT director or similar role Proficient in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications Has led and/or has been part of setting organizations strategic priorities and translating such priorities into actionable projects, including planning/mobilization, requirements definition, build/configuration and implementation Familiarity with various vendors and experience in selecting and managing service/performance of the vendors Organized with strong capability to manage breadth and complexity of needed projects Demonstrated ability to evaluate business requirements and business process definition to develop robust systems solutions Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. Experience in developing and controlling information technology budget Strong technical experience with cloud computing, ERPs, database management, systems architecture, security management, various applications Certified Network Engineer a plus In addition to a great working environment, AMI offers an excellent total compensation package which includes: * Medical/Prescription & Dental * 401k Plan including an Employer Match, up to 6% * Short & long-term disability, at no cost * Group term life, at no cost * Vision at discounted rates * Voluntary life at discounted rates * 10 paid holidays * 3 personal days * 3 weeks Paid Time Off * Employee Assistance Programs * Leadership Development * Other great perks "Active Minerals International is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, disability, marital status, national origin, race, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status."
