Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, and cost accountinga. Devise or revise business processes as necessary to achieve goalsb. Develop a finance department culture of continuous business process improvements2. Oversee monthly WIP meetings3. Assist in evolving, maintaining, and managing all accounting systems4. Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans. Prepare accurate mid-year forecasts as needed by Company officers to assist with business and tax planning.5. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions6. Act as a mentor to the accounting team to support and encourage their professional development7. Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities8. Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards9.
