Job SummaryOtsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. (Otsuka) is looking for a Compliance Operations Manager to join its Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Department. This is a new role within E&C, and the Compliance Operations Manager will have the opportunity to help shape administrative processes and optimize functional efficiency. Otsuka seeks highly motivated business professionals who are ready to defy limitation, so that others can, too.The Compliance Operations Manager will report to the Vice President & US Chief Compliance Officer and coordinate all business activities and initiatives of E&C. Such activities include but are not limited to meeting and presentation planning, budgeting, project management, and compliance fellowship program management.Job DescriptionThe Compliance Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating development of E&C presentations and large-scale meetings, including:Quarterly slide presentations to:OAPI/OPDC Board of DirectorsOAPI/OPDC Audit CommitteeOAPI/OPDC Executive Leadership TeamOPDC Research and Development Leadership TeamE&C Annual Report to the OAPI/OPDC Board of DirectorsE&C in-office and offsite "all-hands"A' meetings, including:Monthly E&C/Legal Affairs/Promotional Compliance MeetingSemi-Annual E&C offsiteAnnual E&C Holiday EventThe Compliance Operations Manager will also coordinate E&C budgeting activities by:meeting regularly with E&C functional leads to understand current and anticipated spendmaintaining E&C department budgeting dashboards/metricsliaising with E&C's Finance business partner to (1) receive updates regarding new Finance policies and processes, and (2) provide timely budget updatesproviding ongoing support to E&C Requesters of Service in their management of budgets, performance measurement and reporting, and compliance with billing guidelinesproviding regular updates to the Vice President & US Chief Compliance Officer regarding E&C budget performanceIn addition, the Compliance Operations Manager will develop and maintain a comprehensive log of E&C workstreams and provide regular status updates to the Vice President & US Chief Compliance Officer.Along with these core responsibilities, the Compliance Operations Manager will coordinate planning of E&C's career development programs, including its compliance fellowship program.Travel is expected approximately 5% of the time.QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree or at least 3 years relevant work experienceAt least 1 full year of office or operations (not people) management experiencePrior direct responsibility for budgeting and billingDemonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize projectsDemonstrated ability to plan and coordinate department-wide meetingsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail, with commensurate editing skillsStrong interpersonal skills with proven track record as a team playerAbility to work collaboratively with others and maintain a solutions-focused mindsetAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to exercise discretion with respect to confidential mattersExcellent computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft OfficePreferredFamiliarity with the pharmaceutical industryExperience supporting cross-functional teamsDisclaimerThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by the people assigned to this position.
